Started in July of 2017, the HomeBox (a/k/a the Fabulous Roadworthy Habitation Trailer) is my tiny house on wheels. This story starts at the delivery of the bare trailer chassis and continues through 4 years of construction, then transitions to the challenges and delights of actually living in it (as of Nov 3, 2021).
The story begins at the beginning. You can browse the blog directly or you can scroll back using the widget below to pick up the tale as of any particular date, if you remember when you were here last 🙃
Want to just jump right in to Home Box Life and not read 4 years of construction backstory? You can pick up the story as the HomeBox is delivered to the site. Please note that there’s still a fair bit of construction ongoing, so you will still read about that as it happens, but you will be joining the story with the HomeBox at about 95% completion and where the story of living in it is entangled with everything else.
There was a time I thought being a registered user meant you could opt-in to get notified of new posts, too. Turns out I was wrong about that. If you have a reader/aggregator app of some kind, you should be able to use this RSS feed to find out when there’s new stuff here. I’ve looked at a few plug-ins to provide subscription features. They all claim to be easy but none of them worked out of the box and frankly I can’t be bothered to fuss with them. I have plenty of technical challenges in my day job (and in building the house, for that matter). No need to pile on.
Since nobody was leaving comments and I was getting bogus registrations from robots, I have simply disabled registration and commenting. If you really want to reach me and we’re not already acquainted to the point of your having a way to do that, foxtrot november oscar x-ray india bravo will reach me at cheem hale.
